I Have a Long List of Feature Requests. How Should They Be Prioritized?

What is your best method for prioritizing a long and large feature request list?

Since I started my product management career, I’ve been thinking about this.

I found four principles that guide my decisions:

  1. Make sure the feature is consistent with the organization’s goals.
  2. Make sure the feature solves the problem your users are experiencing.
  3. Make sure the feature is compatible with the metrics that your organization is tracking.
  4. Try to identify features that can serve multiple problems and/or multiple types of user personas.
