We think we need a perfect map of the future to get started

BUT

We need a general direction.

The graphic below is one I found while following Liz Fosslien.

To me, this picture demonstrates my thoughts about the “north star” of a product.

We need to define the product’s value proposition and the pain point we plan to solve. And that’s it…!

We’ll figure the details out later.

Jeff Bezos once said:

“We are stubborn on vision. We are flexible on details…. We don’t give up on things easily.

If you’re not stubborn, you’ll give up on experiments too soon.

And if you’re not flexible, you’ll pound your head against the wall and you won’t see a different solution to a problem you’re trying to solve.”

That picture really made my day!
